- Believes leagues should have multiple levels of competition and divisions
- Believes in promotion and regulation in appropriate age groups
- Believes in merit-based placement of teams
- Believes that winning easy makes players lazy and constant losing fails to motivate
Simple Administration in Club and Player Development Process
NISL…
- The NISL is a league affiliate of US Club Soccer. The NISL has web-based registration in conjunction with a full-time league administration.
US Club Soccer…
- A National affiliate member of the USSF, and as such is authorized to register players, coaches, and sanction events to the same extent as any other USSF Member
Player Cards…
- NISL/US Club Soccer player cards may be used for any competition in which you have been accepted up until the expiration dates. While there may be a team designation on the card, it also states validity for any of your club’s teams at or above the designated player age group.
- Note: There is still an obligation to comply with specific competition rules regarding size of rosters, roster freeze, etc.
Player Rosters…
- The roster, which you can print from the NISL website, is the Official Roster for your team and shall be recognized as such by competitions. There is no need for additional stamps or signatures. The security for this system is your website password you have been issued. This password will be revoked if you are proved to be in bad standing.
Insurance Coverage…
- As members of the NISL/US Club Soccer, your players and staff who are in possession of a valid card are fully covered by secondary medical insurance, and your club is also covered by liability insurance.
Travel Permission…
- There is no travel permission required to travel as a US Club Soccer team anywhere in the United States. Permission is required from the USSF for travel outside of the United States. There should be no need for a USYS tournament to need any further information on this. If necessary, we will send a special letter to a tournament indicating that you are in good standing and free to travel.
Tournament Sanctioning…
- US Club Soccer’s tournament sanctioning program, available to all US Club Soccer members without a fee, allows both US Club Soccer teams and teams registered with other USSF affiliates to participate in a competition. No travel permission is required for US Club Soccer Members. Tournament rules are established by the host Club, and tournament insurance is offered for both US Club Soccer Members and non-Members. Tournament insurance coverage can be purchased directly through our insurance, so that any and all participants are covered regardless of USSF affiliation.
- Minimal paperwork is required, thus allowing for more time to be dedicated to the event itself.
Anti-Discrimination…
- As a member of a USSF-affiliated organization, bylaws prohibit discrimination against your players, teams, or staff for participating as a US Club Soccer member. Should you or another soccer organization have questions regarding this, or if you are having a problem, you are urged to contact us.
Limited Rules and Paperwork…
- NISL is committed to minimizing the red tape and paperwork often associated with other soccer associations. The NISL rostering rules are designed to provide Clubs with maximum flexibility in player development by allowing players to move freely between Club Teams.
